Anniversary of Heartbreak
If you knew the day you would say “I love you” for the last time to your beloved family, how would you spend your day?
Each April 13, it’s as if I have the opportunity to rewind the clock…change the past and snatch my father and son, Reat, from death’s door.
Logically, I know this is not true. My soul aches to make a change on that fateful day. Perhaps this is one reason I continue to forge ahead with making changes for good in my life and the lives of others.
Be kind. If you see something, say something. If you know a lonely person, reach out and ask them their story. You can make a difference. Hug your loved ones tightly. Making a bad grade on an exam or a course may be disappointing but don’t allow them to alter your life. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Dream big. Take vacations. Play cards and games with those who clamor for you to do so. Open the door for someone. Lift the suitcase out of the bin. My heart is racing. I am rambling. Focus on LOVE…today and everyday. Be the Ripple of kindness you need for yourself because you will make a different in the future of another.
Dad and Reat – for you…SevenDays® Make a Ripple. Change the World.

Great advice for all of us, especially in these crazy times.
